Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Rao Narendra Singh on Monday expressed deep sorrow and concern over the tragic news of 50 youth from Haryana returning from America in shackles. He said that this incident is a matter of introspection for the entire state. All the children had gone abroad in search of a better future but are now forced to return in shackles.

He said, “These children are not symbols of any crime, but rather victims of unemployment and despair. They risked their families’ hopes and hard-earned money, but the BJP government’s failed policies have left them in a situation where they have returned to the ashes of their own dreams.”

The state Congress president added that the unemployment rate in Haryana continues to be the highest in the country. “It is the biggest failure of the BJP government that educated, hardworking, and talented youth of Haryana are forced to leave the state. This situation exists despite the government making false claims of ‘double-engine development’ on every platform,” he said.

Rao Narendra Singh asked the government sharp questions: “For how long will BJP continue to suppress the ‘unemployment epidemic’ under the ‘arrogance of power’ and ‘cloud of lies’? For how long will Haryana’s families continue to shed tears of blood over their children’s future?”

He added, “Is this BJP’s ‘new Haryana’—where the dreams of young people become the shackles of prison?”

He said that this is not just a matter of children trapped abroad or returning, but of the broken trust of Haryana, which BJP has crushed through the grip of unemployment, corruption, and drug addiction. The state Congress president demanded that a high-level investigation be conducted into this entire incident. “Legal, financial, and psychological support should be provided to all the youth who have returned from the United States and their families.” He added, “Strict action should be taken against those who sent the youth abroad.”
