The Kurukshetra police seized nearly 500 bags of urea from a truck in Shahabad on Monday.

A police spokesperson said acting a truck loaded with urea was parked near the Jalebi bridge in Shahabad. Police officials reached the spot and recovered a mobile phone and seized nearly 500 bags of urea kept in the vehicle.

The driver managed to flee, however, the vehicle was impounded. A case has been registered on the complaint of Shishpal Sharma, Quality Control Inspector of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
