Nearly 5,000 stores under the Har Hith Store Yojana will be opened in the state to promote the sale of quality products of daily need at reasonable prices.
Rohit Yadav, Managing Director, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited, has confirmed this. In the first phase, 2,000 stores will be opened — 1,500 stores in rural areas and 500 in urban areas. The government has set a target of opening 100 stores by October 2. Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited will allot a retail outlet on 200-sq-ft land in a village with a population of 3,000 or more. The Municipal Committee shall allot one retail outlet in the council to wards having a cumulative population of 10,000. The government will provide a platform to youth franchisees as well as MSMEs, government cooperatives, Farmer Producer Organisations and Self-help Groups to increase their business. Under the Parivar Pehchan Patra, youths of families whose annual income is less than Rs 1.8 lakh will be given priority under the yojana. — TNS
