Such shivirs are being organised in Rohtak on a regular basis since October 22 following the formation of the new government in the state. As many as 116 complaints have been lodged at these camps till date, of which only 44 have been resolved. As per the official statements issued regarding the camps, 62 per cent complaints lodged at these camps have been awaiting disposal.

The underlying idea behind the exercise is to redress the grievances of residents of the urban areas on priority.

Rohtak Municipal Corporation Commissioner Brahmjeet Rangi and Deputy Municipal Commissioner-cum-Nodal Officer Jitender Kumar listen to the grievances of the residents at the Samadhan Shivirs organised at the office of the Rohtak MC.

The local authorities listen to residents’ grievances at the municipal offices in Meham, Sampla and Kalanaur towns of the district. The officials concerned as well as the employees dealing with specific public services are also present at the camps. However, a majority of complaints being lodged by the residents at these camps still remain unresolved. “The remaining complaints will also be disposed of as soon as the formalities are completed,” an official said.

They have appealed to the resident that those coming to the shivirs should bring the requisite documents related to their grievances so that they can get an effective solution on the spot and do not have to make rounds of the offices.
