68 property holders of Manakpur village submit documents to get ownership
Sixty eight property holders of Manakpur village have submitted their documents to obtain ownership certificates from the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ).
The documents were submitted at a camp organised by the MCYJ in Manakpur village for issuing property certificates to those who had been occupying properties in Lal Dora and Abadi Deh for the last 10 years.
On the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha, a committee has been formed to issue property certificates to those living in Lal Dora and Abadi Deh for 10 years.
The outgoing Municipal Councillors have been made chairmen of committees in their wards.
Engineers of the MCYJ have been made member secretaries and other officers have been made members of the committees.
The committee members took documents of the property holders in Manakpur village yesterday.
During this camp, as many as 68 people submitted their documents.
Some people did not submit complete documents and deficiencies were found in documents of some others.
The committee members have started an investigation regarding the property-holders whose documents were found complete.
“I have issued instructions to the committee secretary and other employees to properly check the documents of the property-holders. Officials of the MCYJ have been asked to prepare certificates of those persons whose documents are found correct in the investigation as soon as possible so that they can get the ownership rights of their property,” said Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Pal Yadav said that to obtain the ownership certificate of properties situated in Abadi Deh and Lal Dora, the property-holders would have to produce some documents including electricity bill or water bill of the last 10 years, driving licence, passport, GST certificate, voter card, possession certificate, property tax receipt, sale deed, conveyance deed, release deed, jamabandi, fard and other documents. He said that some of the documents needed to be verified by the authorities of the Revenue Department.
