The Department of School Education has issued an order for the immediate closure of unrecognised schools operating in various parts of Rohtak district. A total of 70 such schools have been identified, with some already shut down, while others may still be running, according to District Education Officer (DEO) Manjeet Malik.

Malik confirmed that notices have been sent to the managements of these unrecognised schools. She also urged residents to ensure their children are enrolled only in government-run or recognised institutions. To raise awareness, public announcements have been made warning against sending children to these unrecognised schools.

“Strict legal action will be taken against the managements of these schools if they continue to operate and admit students,” Malik said. She emphasised that FIRs would be filed against individuals found running schools without the proper recognition or affiliation.

Despite these measures, Malik clarified that her office has not received any specific complaints regarding unrecognised schools so far.
