State Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana on Monday urged citizens to prioritise heart health while addressing participants of a 5-km Fun Run organised to mark World Heart Day in Yamunanagar.

The event, hosted by Alchemist Ojas Hospital, Panchkula, drew nearly 700 participants with the objective of spreading awareness about cardiovascular health and underscoring the importance of timely medical intervention in saving lives.

The occasion was graced by several prominent figures, including Yamunanagar Mayor Suman Bahamani, former BJP district general secretary Krishna Singla, international footballer Pankaj Chugh and former Indian women’s football team captain Manpreet Kaur, who all came together to support the cause.

Highlighting the vital role of cardiologists in preventive care and emergency interventions, Dr Rohit Parti, Director of Interventional Cardiology at Alchemist Ojas Hospital, emphasised that lifestyle changes and regular health checkups are key to tackling cardiovascular diseases.
