He informed that under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, the state aims to plant four lakh saplings, with progress to be uploaded on the Union Environment Ministry’s “Meri LiFE” portal.

“The main event of the campaign will take place at Bir Hisar on September 19,” he said.

The minister also shared that on September 25 — the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya — all District Forest Officers will organise special cleanliness drives at their offices. They will observe the theme “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” through shramdaan to promote the message of cleanliness.

During the fortnight, four mobile publicity vans equipped with digital walls will be deployed to spread awareness about the campaign. Singh instructed officers to ensure that an awareness video on plastic pollution is also uploaded.
