8-day Basant Utsav concludes with Haryanvi fashion show in Kurukshetra

Kurukshetra, February 19

The eight-day Basant Utsav organised by the Haryana Kala Parishad concluded at the Kala Kriti Bhawan with a Haryanvi fashion show, last night.

Local artistes graced the ramp at Bharatmuni Rangshala showcasing Haryanvi costumes, jewellery and equipment used in households and agriculture.

The Basant Utsav organised from February 11 to 18 saw a confluence of artistes from Haryana and other states.

The first day of the festival was dedicated to Haryana and Punjab, while on the second day, the artistes of Rajasthan gave cultural presentations. Artistes from several states like Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi also participated. Kala Parishad Director Nagendra Sharma said Haryanvi fashion show was organised to highlight the popularity of Haryanvi folk costumes among the youth.
