Taking note of the shortage of gynaecologists at Civil Hospital in Narnaul, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao directed Director General (Health Services) to depute eight women doctors on duty in rotation for 14 days each in the hospital.
Complying with the orders, the Director General (Health Services) issued orders asking Dr Meenakshi, Dr Suman, Dr Rashmi, Dr Sushma, Dr Salik and Dr Poonam from the Civil Hospital, Gurgaon, to also perform duty at the Civil Hospital in Narnaul.
Similarly, Dr Yogeshwari and Dr Jyoti from Pataudi have also been put on duty at Civil Hospital, Narnaul.
Notably, women patients were facing a lot of problems due to non-availability of any gynaecologist at the Civil Hospital in Narnaul. They had to approach private hospitals to take treatment for gynae-related issues, hence locals had raised the issue before the Health Minister.
