The Gurugram police have arrested eight women of Madhya Pradesh’s Kadiya gang, who would commit thefts at crowded places. An amount of Rs 3,790 has been recovered from them.
According to the police, a woman had filed a complaint on February 14, stating that her purse — which contained money and important documents — was stolen from the Sector 14 market, following which an FIR was registered. The investigation of the case was handed over to the crime unit team of Sector 43.
The team arrested the accused from Rajiv Nagar, Sector 12, on Friday. They were identified as Radhika Bhaneriya, Jyoti, Gayatri Bai, Sunita Bai, Ramkali, Juli Bhaneriya, Jivika and Gauri Sisodiya, all residents of Rajgarh district in MP.
“A case was registered against Ramkali for fighting in MP while a case was registered against Julie for committing theft in Delhi,” said a police spokesperson.
