A Haryana Police officer has been chosen for the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, and eight others have been awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Saurabh Singh, head of the Haryana Intelligence Department, will be awarded the President's Police Medal.
Those who have been awarded the Police Medal are: Deputy Superintendent of Police Indrajit Singh, Intelligence Department, Gurugram; Inspector Vishwajeet, Intelligence Department, Charkhi Dadri; Inspector Vipin Kumar, Police Academy, Madhuban, Karnal; Sub-Inspector Mohan Singh, Telecom, Panchkula; Sub-Inspector Ranbir, Special Task Force, Karnal; Sub-Inspector Omprakash, Scene of Crime, Hisar; Sub-Inspector Narendra Kumar, Headquarters, Intelligence Department; and Assistant Sub-Inspector Jagtar Singh, Chief Minister Security Desk, Intelligence Department, Haryana.
Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapur said the recognition received at the national level for the tireless and continuous efforts of the officers and employees of the Haryana Police was a matter of pride for the entire force.
