941 booths set up in 4 Bhiwani segments
The Bhiwani district administration has set up 941 polling booths in four Assembly constituencies of the district for a total of 8,75,902 voters.
Facilities for Disabled voters
- Out of the total voters in the district, 8,275 are service voters. Of these, 7929 are males and 346 are females. There are 1,689 service voters in Loharu Assembly, 1,970 in Bhiwani, 2,153 in Tosham and 2,464 in Bawani Khera
- Disabled and elderly voters will get the facility of ramp and wheelchair at the polling station. There are 10,951 such elderly voters in the district having above 85 years of age. Out of these, the highest number of 2816 are in the Bhiwani Assembly constituency
- There are a total of 7,560 such voters in the district who have more than 40 per cent disability. The highest number of these voters are in Bawani Khera Assembly constituency at 2,118
The Deputy Commissioner-cum-district Election Officer Mahavir Kaushik said that out of total voters, 4,62,538 are men and 4,13,364 are women. It included 2,05,489 voters in Loharu Assembly constituency; 23,510 in Bhiwani Assembly; 2,20,604 in Tosham Assembly; and 2,14,799 voters in Bawani Khera Assembly constituency.
The DC said they had set up four pink booths — one in each of the four constituencies — which will have women employees. These pink booths will be decorated with balloons and flowers. Only women officers and employees will conduct the proceedings of voting in these booths. Among these, booth number 214 is in Loharu Assembly constituency, where 666 voters will cast their votes. In Bhiwani Assembly constituency, booth number nine of KM Public School has 972 voters. In Tosham Assembly constituency, booth number 30 is of Model Sanskriti CS School with 730 voters. Besides, booth number 153 has been set up in Prem Nagar village in Bawani Khera having 260 voters.
The DC said the district administration has made all the preparations to conduct the Assembly elections in a transparent and peaceful manner.
The administration has deployed 35 zonal officers, 108 sector officers, besides presiding officers and polling officers. Apart from this, 67 micro-observers have been appointed and all of them are being imparted training. Five video viewing teams and 21 video surveillance teams have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident. Five account teams, four assistant expense observers, 24 flying squads and 29 static surveillance teams have been deployed.
