98% crime cases against women, Scheduled Castes solved in Hisar
The Hisar range police have succeeded in solving 98 per cent of all criminal cases pertaining to women and people from Scheduled Caste communities during 2024.
The police spokesperson said a total of 1,477 cases were registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to crimes against women and individuals from SC communities.
Out of these, 1,452 cases have been solved by the police in the six police districts of the Hisar range police — Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jind, Hansi and Dabwali.
Additional Director General of Police (Hisar range police) M Ravi Kiran said 24 cases related to dowry deaths, 612 to domestic violence against women and 209 related to rape were resolved.
The police also solved 260 out of 264 cases of molestation and 329 out of 350 of kidnapping. Eighteen cases of crimes against persons from Scheduled Caste communities were also resolved by the police.
The ADGP said collaborative efforts of various districts within the Hisar range police had been among the factors that led to the resolution of criminal cases efficiently.
The Hisar range police had demonstrated exceptional diligence in ensuring that justice was served to victims, the ADGP added.
