The district unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organised a protest here against increasing unemployment in the state. Party’s Gurugram unit president Dharmendra Khatana said the government was answerable to the youth for increasing unemployment and lack of secure future.

“There are no jobs. Even in a city like Gurugram, youths are struggling to secure jobs. They made tall promises, but did nothing in 10 years. Job opportunities have dwindled,” he said.

Party workers organised a protest march and raised slogans against the Khattar government. The party has warned of a more aggressive protest if the situation does not improve.

State spokesperson Dr Sarika Verma said the Khattar government was trying to fool people by sending local men as labourers to war-torn countries like Israel. “They are fooling youths and sending them to war-torn countries, rather than creating employment opportunities in the state,” she said.
