The trend of leaving a parent party to join an opponent party continues in Yamunanagar district.
State Joint Secretary of Aam Aadmi Party Randhir Chaudhary left AAP and joined the BJP. He joined the BJP in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli in Kurukshetra on Saturday.
Randhir Chaudhary contested Assembly election of 2000 on the BSP ticket from Yamunanagar Assembly constituency. He stood third and bagged 16,897 votes in the said election.
He also contested byelection of Yamunanagar Assembly constituency in 2002 as an Independent candidate, but failed to win the election. Later, he fought the election from Radaur Assembly constituency in 2009 as an Independent candidate, but could not win. He said he left the AAP and jointed the BJP.
“Now, there is no difference between AAP and Congress party as both are following the same ideology. Therefore, I left the AAP and joined the BJP,” said Randhir Chaudhary. He added that whatever responsibility he was given by the BJP, he would fulfil it with loyalty and dedication.
Like other districts of Haryana, leaders from Yamunanagar are also leaving their parties and joining other parties.
The big names in the political circles of Yamunanagar district, who left their parties recently and joined other parties include Karan Dev Kamboj, Adarsh Pal Singh and Brijpal Chhappar.
After being denied tickets, Karan Dev Kamboj left the BJP and joined Congress, Adarsh Pal Singh left Congress and joined AAP and Brijpal Chhappar left Congress and joined BSP.
