Dhuman Singh Kirmach, Deputy Chairman of HSHDB, who initiated the Aarti at Brahma Sarovar in 2015 during his tenure as BJP district chief, shared his enthusiasm for replicating the model. He said, “The Aarti at Brahma Sarovar has become a major attraction, especially during the International Gita Mahotsav. Now we are extending this concept to Sarasvati Tirtha in Pehowa.”

During a recent site inspection with officials, Dhuman Singh noted, “Devotees from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP and Delhi flock to Pehowa during the Chaitra Chaudas fair to honour their ancestors.” The ‘International Sarasvati Mahotsav-2025’will be held in Pehowa from January 29. The preparations for the Mahotsav were underway and a Saras fair would be inaugurated at Sarasvati Tirtha, he said.

Singh added the evening Aarti would be performed during the Mahotsav and the new Aarti Sthala would be built on the eastern and northern parts of the Tirtha to offer a panoramic view of the entire ghat. The location would also include a seating area for the devotees. He said the design for the Aarti Sthala had already been prepared and officials had been instructed to submit their report on foundation work and the platform in the coming days.

A dedicated website for the board will soon allow devotees from other states to book their slots online for the Aarti.
