In Sirsa, INLD leader Abhay Chautala has launched a campaign for Gopal Kanda following their alliance with the Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP).

On Thursday, Abhay, alongside Kanda, visited several villages to rally support. During his visit, he targeted the Congress party, claiming they were spreading rumours to gain an advantage. He stated that the Congress did not have a credible candidate in Sirsa, as only Gokul Setia received a ticket after 30 others applied and paid a fee of Rs 20,000 each.

Abhay pointed out that Gokul had previously been campaigning with them, claiming he would not leave, but he switched to the Congress shortly before filing his nomination. Abhay suggested this indicated that the Congress lacked a genuine candidate who could compete effectively in the region. He boldly declared that this time they would ensure Gokul Setia’s security was forfeited in the elections.

Meanwhile, HLP candidate Gopal Kanda also criticised his opponent Gokul Setia, asserting that Setia’s only tactics involved either threatening others or being threatened himself. Kanda emphasised that eliminating unemployment was the top priority for him. He believeed that addressing unemployment would help the youth, who were at present struggling with addiction, to contribute positively to the development of the state and the country.

Kanda announced plans to establish large industries in the Sirsa area to combat unemployment. He also mentioned a significant development: a medical college named after Baba Sarsai Nath, which was set to be built with an investment exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, with the tender already approved. The college would provide high-level medical facilities in the region.
