AC bus service to religious sites launched at Rohtak
First bus to Vrindavan flagged off | Five new buses approved to ease pilgrim travel
Five air-conditioned buses have been introduced to facilitate travel for local residents to various religious sites.
Rohtak Mayor Ram Avatar Valmiki, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta and former minister Manish Kumar Grover flagged off the first AC bus to Vrindavan from Rohtak bus stand on Tuesday.
Grover said a bus has been launched from Rohtak to Vrindavan, adding similar services will be operated to other religious destinations as well. He expressed gratitude to CM Nayab Singh Saini and Transport Minister Anil Vij for approving the project.
Vipin Kumar Sharma, General Manager (Roadways) at Rohtak Bus Depot, said the introduction of AC buses for pilgrim routes had positioned the depot as one of the leading ones in the state. The bus to Vrindavan will depart daily at 12.10 pm, Sharma said.
