ADC inspects school facilities, eats with students during midday meal
On Tuesday, students at Government Secondary School in Nejia Khera village lined up for their midday meal as usual. However, they were surprised to see Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Lakshit Sareen sitting with them on the ground, eating and chatting with the students, boosting their morale.
During his surprise visit, Sareen ate with the students to check the quality of food being served and interacted with them to gather feedback about the school’s facilities. He also inspected various aspects of the school’s functioning, including the teaching methods, drinking water, cleanliness and the quality of the mid-day meal.
Sareen instructed the school principal to ensure that food quality was never compromised, as it directly impacted the students' health. He emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and ensuring regular checks on the meals being served.
The ADC also focused on the cleanliness and drinking water arrangements, stressing the need to maintain a clean environment for the students.
Additionally, he inspected the classrooms, checked attendance and encouraged the teachers to motivate the students for their studies.
