Additional DC addresses residents’ grievances at Ambala’s Tepla village

Ambala Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr Brahmjeet Singh, during the night halt programme at Tepla village, listened to the public grievances and directed the officials to resolve the complaints on priority, on Friday night.

About 25 personal and public complaints related to electricity, sanitation, Parivar Pehachan Patra, Old Aged pension and some other complaints were raised during the event.

Various government department officials were also present on this occasion to disseminate information regarding the welfare policies being run by the government.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Barara Suresh Kumar, SDM Ambala Cantonment Vinesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer Zila Parishad Gagandeep Singh, RTA Sushil Kumar, and officials from several other departments were present during the programme.

Tepla village Sarpanch Gagandeep Kaur apprised the officials that a large number of village youth were serving in the Army.

During the night halt, Gurdevi raised the demand of old-aged pension, while Ajay Kumar raised the demand for sanitation workers in the village. Gurdyal Singh, Tinku and Satish Kumar sought corrections in income in their family IDs, while Sewa Ram raised the complaint of defunct lights on NH-44. Pilkhani village sarpanch and other residents of the village demanded bus service from Pilkhani village.

Meanwhile, the residents also raised demands related to drain, water supply, BPL card, repair of roof, and grants under government schemes. The ADC marked the complaints to respective departments and directed the officials to resolve the complaints.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Brahmjeet Singh said as per the guidelines of the government, the night halt programme is organised every month. The main objective of organising a night halt programme is to reach to the doorsteps of the people and solve their problems on the spot. During the night halt, the heads of various departments remain present and are instructed to address and resolve complaints on the spot. He also said that every Monday and Thursday, Samadhan Shivir are being organised at the district and sub-division level. Anyone can attend these camps and raise their problem. He also said that all the complaints received during the night halt will be resolved on priority.
