Ahead of the Republic Day, the Gurugram traffic police have issued an advisory for heavy and medium vehicles in the city.

The entry of heavy vehicles has been prohibited in Delhi and traffic routes will also be diverted from four areas from Thursday evening till Friday afternoon. DCP (Traffic) Virender Vij today issued instructions to all zonal officers, traffic inspectors and traffic police station in-charges in the district.

As per the traffic advisory, all medium and heavy goods-carrying vehicles will not be allowed to enter Gurugram and Delhi on January 25 from 5 pm to January 26 till 1.30 pm.

In order to ensure smooth flow of traffic, the heavy vehicles coming from Jaipur via National Highway-48 will be diverted to the KMP Expressway in Pachgaon while those coming from local areas of Gurugram will be diverted to the alternate routes at various points, including Kherki Toll, Rajiv Chowk and Shankar Chowk.
