Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana conducted a surprise inspection at the Chhachhrauli grain market in Yamunanagar district.

During the inspection, the Agriculture Minister reviewed the wheat procurement process, and examined the lifting of procured wheat as well as the facilities being provided to farmers at the market.

The Agriculture Minister gave directions to the Yamunanagar District Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Controller to ensure the timely lifting of wheat purchased from Chhachhrauli and other grain markets of the district.

He said there should be no delay in this regard, adding that any kind of negligence would not be tolerated.

Arhtiyas and farmers submitted a memorandum of their demands to the minister. The minister assured them that appropriate action would be taken in this regard.

“The state government stands firmly with farmers, and is making every effort to ensure that the lifting of procured wheat is carried out promptly and farmers receive payments directly into their bank accounts at the earliest,” Rana added.
