Agri Minister inspects under-construction bridge
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana along with officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) inspected the bridge connecting Jathlana village of Yamunanagar district to Nakur town of Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh.
During the inspection, Rana instructed the PWD officials and the contractor concerned to complete the construction work of the bridge as soon as possible, so that traffic could be started on the bridge for the general public.
Executive Engineer of the PWD Puneet Mittal said administrative approval of Rs 90 crore was received from the Haryana Government for the construction of the bridge at Jathlana village in Yamunanagar district.
He said the tender for construction work of the bridge was allotted to M/s Krishna Construction Company.
Rana said the bridge was being constructed on the Yamuna to connect Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
He said he instructed the officials to complete construction work of the bridge as early as possible to open it for the public.
“With the construction of the bridge, the residents of the area, mainly farmers, whose agricultural land is situated on the other side of the Yamuna, will be benefited a lot,” said Rana.
He further said under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana was on the path of progress.
“The Haryana Government is working for all round development of the state. The government is taking steps for the welfare of the citizens of the state,” said Rana.
