Ahead of PM's Panipat visit, CM reviews preparations
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday reviewed the preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's programme in Panipat and directed the administration regarding the programme.
Modi would stay in Panipat for 1.5 hours and launch the 'Bima Sakhi' scheme of the LIC for empowering women.
On the other hand, the city roads, NH-44 and all the roads near the programme venue are adorned with the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and other BJP leaders' board and hoardings.
Apart from it security beefed up at the programme venue and the complete venue has been under the cover of the special protection group (SPG).
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini along with the Cabinet Ministers Krishan Lal Panwar, Mahipal Dhanda, Krishan Bedi, former MP Sanjay Bhatia, MLA Pramod Vij, KM Pandurang, Director, Information and Public Relation Department, DC Virender Kumar Dahiya, SP Lokender Singh and BJP’s district president Dushyant Bhatt visited the programme venue.
DC Dahiya assured the Chief Minister that the programme would be historical and all preparations have been completed to succeed the PM’s event.
Chief Minister Saini said that the government is always serious for women empowerment and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi always kept women empowerment on priority.
CM Saini said that December 9 would be the historical day for the state as well as for Panipat also as Prime Minister Narendra Modi would launch a big scheme for the women empowerment from this historical land.
He further said that PM Modi had launched a national level campaign ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (BBBP) to save the daughters and to improve the gender ratio from Panipat on January 22, 2015 after which lakhs of daughters’ life saved.
CM Saini further stated that after this programme the women would be more strong and new opportunities of employment would be opened and the women would get more opportunities to come forward.
PM Modi has empowered the women by passing the ‘Nari Shakti Bill’, he added.
All preparations to welcome the PM Modi on December 9 have been completed and the entire state is ready to welcome the PM, he added.
While interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister said that the scheme ‘Bima Sakhi’ which would be launched by the Prime Minister on December 9 is a very big scheme for the women and thousands of women from the entire state would reach here.
He further said that the Centre and state government is working for the welfare of the farmers but some political parties are trying to mislead the farmers in which they would not succeed. Prime Minister Modi has taken decisions in the interest of farmers with strength and speed and farmers are empowered and they have benefited from government schemes.
The government has given MSP of 14 other crops to the farmers of Haryana, he said. 100 percent crop is being purchased at MSP and small farmers are also getting the benefit of MSP and vegetable farmers are mainly included in this, the CM maintained.
