Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh on Friday held a review meeting regarding the arrangements made for the common eligibility test (CET) in Kurukshetra.
The DC during the meeting with the district officials directed them to ensure that the examinations were conducted in a smooth manner.
Neha Singh said, “CET of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission are schedule for July 26 and 27, for which 41 examination centres have been established at 29 locations in Kurukshetra. Nearly 40,000 candidates from Sonepat will reach Kurukshetra to appear in the examination on July 26 and 27, while nearly 35,000 candidates from Kurukshetra will go to other districts for the examinations.”
The examination centres have been divided into clusters and each cluster will be monitored by the SDMs and the DSPs. Duty Magistrates have also been appointed for the examinations, and all arrangements are in place.
The DC said the shuttle bus service has been provided to take the candidates to the examination centres. All other arrangements have been made at all 41 examination centres of the district, including drinking water, cleanliness, medical, security, women police personnel, CCTV cameras, jammers, videography and the frisking team. The candidates are appealed to strictly follow the instructions mentioned on the admit card so that no candidate faces any problem. The Duty Magistrates have been appointed for all examination centres.
Neha Singh said the buses coming from Sonepat would be parked at Thanesar Grain Market and arrangements were made to bring and take the candidates from here by the shuttle bus service. Help desks were set up by the administration at the bus stand to guide the candidates. Teams were formed at these help desks and all kinds of information would be made available to the candidates.
Additional Superintendent of Police Prateek Gehlot said security arrangements were made for the examination on both days. Ample police personnel were deployed at the examination centres and the respective bus stands. All SHOs would keep a close watch on their respective centres.
Meanwhile, SP Kurukshetra Nitish Agarwal also held a meeting with the police personnel regarding the examinations and issued directions.
