Chandigarh, June 28
All Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) of the state will be digitised now. Under this, 307 PACS of the state will be fully computerised by August 31, 2022.
This information was given in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal regarding the status of digitisation in primary agricultural cooperatives.
Kaushal directed the officers concerned that by November, almost all 730 PACS of the state should be fully digitised. No delay will be tolerated in this work, so the responsibility of the people involved in this project should be fixed.
After being computerised, the training of the employees of the PACS must be done for smooth operation.
He said the state had taken this decision to digitise activities like PACS with banking system, accounting, loan and advance so that the work could be done smoothly along with ensuring transparency in the working of the societies.
