All govt hospitals must have modern facilities: Saini
To address state-level function in Panchkula on govt's one-year anniv today
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said all government hospitals should be equipped with modern facilities. From maintenance to cleanliness, everything should be in order, he said. Reviewing the maintenance and cleanliness arrangements of hospitals here today, he said officers should conduct regular inspections and action would be taken against those showing negligence.
Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to CM Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department Sudhir Rajpal, and Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works Department Anurag Agarwal, among others, were present.
He instructed officers to lay special emphasis on the “cleanliness culture” in hospitals. He said patients should not face any kind of inconvenience. After repair works of hospital buildings were completed by the Public Works Department, their maintenance lay with the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital concerned, he said.
Meanwhile, the CM will address a state-level function marking the completion of one year of the present government in Panchkula tomorrow. The event will highlight the government’s key achievements, flagship initiatives and roadmap for the coming years.
The Chief Secretary chaired a review meeting to take stock of the preparations for the celebration and directed DCs to organise district-level programmes, which would be followed by a live broadcast of the CM's address.
The CM will distribute development grants to panchayats and urban local bodies and hand over plot allotment letters to beneficiaries under the Mukhya Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2.0 (Phase-II).
