All hospitals to follow WHO norms: Anil Vij

Health Minister Anil Vij has said that the health facilities in the hospitals of the state will be as per the World Health Organisation (WHO) standards. Besides, the number of beds, doctors and other staff in each district would be on the basis of the population in accordance with the WHO standards.

In this regard, a meeting was held today with senior officials of the Medical Education and Research and Health Department. The Health Minister said the PSA oxygen plants would be installed in hospitals and medical colleges having 30 or more beds so that there was no shortage of oxygen when required.

All beds in these hospitals would be equipped with oxygen and ventilators. — TNS
