Alok Mittal takes over as DG of Anti-Corruption Bureau

Urges public to report employees demanding bribe

Alok Mittal, the newly appointed Director General of Haryana's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), took charge at the bureau's headquarters in Panchkula today.

During his visit, he inspected the bureau's office, gathered information about the official and staff work processes, and provided necessary guidelines.

Mittal outlined his priorities, stating that the formation of the bureau aimed to make the state corruption-free. "We must all work as an effective and efficient team to achieve this goal," he said.

During the inspection, he interacted with staff members and enquired about the duties of each officer and employee. He said the bureau would adopt a zero-tolerance policy against corruption.

He appealed to the public, urging them to immediately report any officer or employee demanding a bribe for government work to the bureau's helpline numbers 1064 or 1800-180-2022.
