Ambala, June 13
Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij inaugurated the welcome gate, constructed at a cost of over Rs 2.50 crore in Ambala Cantonment, on Sunday evening.
The welcome gate project, the construction of which was started in 2019, to enhance the beautification of the entry point of the Ambala Cantonment, had missed several deadlines due to various reasons, including changes in design and four-laning of Ambala-Saha road.
The gate has been constructed by the Municipal Council Sadar Zone at a cost of Rs 2.54 crore.
On this occasion, Minister Anil Vij said, “The welcome gate in Ambala Cantonment is erected on a single shaft and is of cantilever shape. The height of the welcome gate is about 50-feet. It has enhanced the beauty of the entry point of Ambala Cantonment. A green belt has been developed and attractive lights have been installed to make it more beautiful during the late hours.”
