Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantonment, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universal AI University, Mumbai.

A spokesperson of the college said the university offered programmes that integrated artificial intelligence (AI) across disciplines. The partnership aims to strengthen educational ties and foster a shared commitment to innovative teaching methods, collaborative research and holistic student development.

As per the agreement, faculty and student exchange programmes to enhance teaching, learning and scholarly outcomes would be organised.

Joint academic programmes would also be launched to offer interdisciplinary and industry-relevant curricula. Joint research initiatives and recreational collaborations under the mentorship of both institutions would also be organised under the pact.

GMN College Principal Dr Rohit Dutt said, “The importance of this strategic partnership is to prepare students for a globalised world. This MoU marks a new chapter in academic excellence and student empowerment. By joining hands with Universal AI University, we aim to bring global standards of education to the college.”

Dr Gurdev Singh, president, governing body, said the MoU marked a significant step towards fostering innovation and excellence in AI education, and the institute looked forward to a fruitful collaboration.

Universal AI University chancellor Dr Tarundeep Anand Singh said, “With this collaboration, we look forward to impactful outcomes in education, research, and sustainability.”

Vice-chancellor Dr Simon Mak said the collaboration would provide students with cutting-edge opportunities in emerging technologies and sustainable practices.

Dr Venkatachari Kavita, dean, faculty of computer science, Universal AI University, said professional training collaboration would boost employability and skill development.
