Ambala Range IG checks case properties seized under NDPS Act
The IG, Ambala range, Sibash Kabiraj, on Friday checked the case properties recovered in 117 cases under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Ambala.
As per the information, the IG along with SP Surinder Singh Bhoria, DSP Ambala Cantonment Rajat Gulia and other officials reached Maal Khana to check the case properties and issued directions. The officials checked the drugs including opium, charas, ganja, heroin, chura post, sulfa and intoxicating medicines seized in 117 cases.
Ambala Superintendent of Police Surinder Singh Bhoria said continuous action is being taken against drug suppliers and the drugs seized from them is destroyed through a legal process. All narcotics have been kept sealed and will be destroyed soon after getting orders from the higher authorities. The value of the seized narcotics in the international market is over Rs 34.49 crore.
