THE HSVP, Sector 9 in Ambala City, is crying for attention and the department, it seems, is apathetic. The major issues relate to potholes in newly constructed streets, sewer blockage, no rainwater lines, poor maintenance of parks, streetlights being on during the day, dumping of garbage and mounds of earth, vacant plots becoming a nuisance and breeding place for mosquitoes and reptiles, delay in picking dead animals, upcoming illegal business in residential colonies and above all the dilapidated condition of community toilets in the market. We hope the administration will take cognisance and take necessary steps. Gian P Kansal, Ambala City
Housing colony park needs attention
Iam a resident of Nehru Park, Housing Board Colony in Ambala Cantt. The attached picture shows the miserable condition of the park here. No bench for children and senior citizens has been installed and no swing is working. No arrangement has been made for cleanliness of the park and it has turned into a waste dumping ground. This park needs immediate attention. Vijay Mahajan, Housing Board Colony, Ambala Cantt
Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
