Members of the Scheduled Caste (SC) community staged a protest in Bahadurgarh town today, expressing anger over the alleged “slackness” of the police in tracing a 14-year-old girl who went missing under mysterious circumstances a month ago. The protesters also raised slogans against the police authorities.

“The girl went out to buy goods from a shop near Shiv Chowk in Bahadurgarh on December 1 but never returned. Despite extensive searches by her family and the police registering a case, her whereabouts remain unknown,” said Bijender, who led the protest.

He warned, “If the girl is not recovered by January 3, we will meet Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during his visit to Bahadurgarh to demand immediate action.”

Inspector Harish Kumar, the investigating officer, stated that efforts to trace the girl are ongoing. “CCTV footage is being reviewed and cyber experts have been engaged in the investigation. A special investigation team (SIT) has also been formed to intensify the search,” he added.

Despite these measures, frustration continues to mount among the SC community, who demand swift action to recover the missing girl.
