Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij on Sunday expressed grief over the New Delhi railway station stampede, saying that the government will take strict action against those responsible.

Speaking to media, Vij said, “It was a heart-wrenching incident. I express my condolences to the families of those killed in this incident. The government has already ordered an inquiry, and I am confident that strict action will be taken against all those who were responsible for the incident. They will not be spared.”

About the ongoing civic body elections in the state, the minister said that the BJP will register a victory as no other party is in the race, with or without a symbol in front of the BJP. He added that the Congress has no organisation in Haryana. The party has failed to even select its leader of opposition.

Vij stated, "The Congress would secure zero seats in the civic body elections.”

Meanwhile, regarding youths deported from the US, Vij said, “It is the choice of any country whether to keep illegal migrants or not. However, while deporting, human rights must be taken care of.”
