Annual alumni meet at College

Kaithal: The annual alumni meet was organised at RKSD College, Kaithal, in the seminar hall. Navneet Goyal was the chief guest on the occasion. Convener Sanjay Garg welcomed Gaurav and Mitchell who had come specifically from the USA to attend this meet. Principal Sanjay Goyal informed the gathering about the progress made by the college in academics, infrastructure, cultural events and sports in recent times. Navneet Goyal, Seema Gupta, RK Gupta, Puneet, Mukesh, Mukesh Wadhwa, Monica Rana, Juhi and other old students shared their experiences about the college.

‘Yagyashala’ inaugurated

Kaithal: ‘Sanskar Vahini Ashtbhuji Yagyashala’ was inaugurated on the premises of DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Cheeka. The chief guest of the event was Dr HR Gandhar, adviser to President DAVCMC, New Delhi. Sudesh Gandhar, Principal of DAV School Cheeka, was the guest of honour. The event began with a ‘havan yajna’ in which Chairman Amarnath Goyal, Manager Dr Ramesh Lal Danda and Principal Poonam Singh prayed to the Almighty for blessings.

Two seminars organised

Karnal: Two seminars on ‘Importance on Personal Hygiene for Girls’ and a separate workshop on ‘Robotics and Artificial Intelligence’ were organised at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary Public School, Dhanora-Ladwa. Resource persons Ajay Gupta and Meghna Sahni, under the Clean India Movement, apprised the girl students about personal hygiene and environment-friendly sanitary pads. Sanjeev Midda, CEO, WYNG Technology, and Ravi Singh, founder of Coexcl Learning Portal, apprised the students about robotics and artificial intelligence and online learning portal with 24×7 tutors facility. School Principal Dherminder Khera thanked the resource persons for their views and suggestions.

Refresher course concludes

Sonepat: A two-week refresher course in English concluded at the UGC’s Human Resources Development Centre at BPS Women University, Khanpur Kalan near Sonepat, on Human Rights Day. Speaking as chief guest on the subject ‘Making sense of human rights: Looking back to trace the way ahead’, Dr K Savitri, visiting professor of India Studies in Singapore national university, opined that human rights should be in the centre of social change and personnel liberty. University Vice-Chancellor, Prof Sushma Yadav, claimed that during the course, participants were made aware of best classes customs, use of technology in English language teaching and about new areas of research in English language and literature. As many as 30 teachers from across the country participated in the UGC’s sponsored course.

institute gets NABH accreditation

Ambala: The MM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MMIMSR) has been awarded with full NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers) accreditation for all 23 speciality and super speciality services and 1,140 beds. The accreditation achievement was celebrated with a special ceremony. Chairman MM Trust Dr Tarsem Garg was the chief guest who was presented with the NABH certificate by CEO of MM Hospital, Brig Dr RK Garg, Vice-Chancellor MM(DU), Dr Victor Gambhir and others. Dr Garg appreciated the efforts and dedication of all the staff in providing quality healthcare.

TERii is engineering college of year

Kurukshetra: Dr MP Gupta, former Director, Technical Education Haryana, and presently adviser TERii, told mediapersons that TERii has been declared ‘Engineering College of Year 2019’ by Academic Insights, a leading magazine in the country. He congratulated the students, faculty, parents, regulators, industry associates and all other stakeholders of the institute on this accomplishment. Dr Sagar Gulati, Director of the institute, said that this year, TERiians have earned online certifications from world-famous Duke University, Michigan University, State University of Michigan, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Microsoft, HP, IIT Roorkee, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Ropar and IIT Kanpur in different specialisations.
