The INLD MLA from Rania, Arjun Chautala, took a swipe at CM Nayab Singh Saini for taking part in a marathon at Dabwali under the state’s anti-drug campaign on Sunday. Speaking to the media at Rania, he said such symbolic events did little to benefit the public and claimed that chief ministers who focused on such activities usually did not complete their full term in office.

On the issue of law and order, Chautala slammed the district administration for its failure to control the drug problem in Sirsa. “The SP is busy standing at chowks and issuing traffic challans. Is that what an SP is supposed to do? If that is his job, what is the point of having an entire police force? His duty is to manage the whole district,” he said.

He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the BJP and the Congress for not addressing public concerns during the ongoing House session. “The Congress had an opportunity to corner the government with facts on the law and order situation, but it didn’t. BJP leaders are busy pointing fingers, and Congress MLAs keep walking out. No one spoke up for the public,” he added.

He also reacted to the buzz around Ranjit Chautala possibly launching a new party. He dismissed the speculation and said the move was just a strategy to return to the BJP through the backdoor.

During the village visits, Arjun Chautala is also inviting people to attend the Samman Diwas rally on September 25, which is held every year in memory of former Deputy PM Devi Lal.

'Rakhi Sawant' barb

Responding to JJP leader Digvijay Chautala’s claim that Arjun Chautala did not answer phone calls from the public, Arjun said he answered everyone’s calls, except Digvijay’s. “Even if he calls me 36 times, I won’t answer. What he says doesn’t matter to me,” he said, called Digvijay 'Haryana’s Rakhi Sawant', suggesting that he tries to stay in the limelight through unnecessary drama.
