Armed men loot Rs 80 lakh in Yamunanagar

Unidentified armed miscreants allegedly committed a dacoity of Rs 80 lakh at gunpoint in a house here on Wednesday. The miscreants reportedly came in a car and fled away after committing dacoity within minutes.
Subhash Chand, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Yamunanagar, said that on the complaint of Kiran of Gujarat, a case was registered against unidentified persons under Section 395 (dacoity) of IPC and Arms Act at City police station, Yamunanagar. The complainant said that they — including Kiran, Ramesh, Sanjay, Uttam Patel and Ashwani — had been living in a rented house in Model Town of Yamunanagar for about four months. Their work is to supply payments to businessmen on commission basis.
He said that some persons entered their house at 3.30 pm. They were armed with guns and took away Rs 80 lakh from them at gunpoint. Their actions were captured by CCTV cameras installed in a neighbouring house. — TNS
