Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya emphasised the importance of Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s teachings, stating that the values of Arya Samaj must be instilled in every household to create a civilised society and a strong nation.

Speaking as the chief guest at the Arya Maha Sammelan, organised by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Haryana at Dayanand Mathh on Sunday, Dattatreya lauded the remarkable contribution of Swami Dayanand Saraswati in eliminating social evils and reforming society. The event marked the 200th birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati and the 150th anniversary of the Arya Samaj’s establishment.

The Sammelan was presided over by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, with Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda attending as the special guest.

“Swami Dayanand Saraswati worked for the eradication of social evils. We have to take his mission forward together,” said Dattatreya.

Governor Acharya Devvrat highlighted how societal challenges have evolved over time and credited Maharishi Dayanand’s teachings for empowering women through education.
