Former BJP MLA Ashok Tanwar suggested senior Congress leader and Sirsa MP Selja consider joining BJP, following an offer from former chief minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

At a Gharaunda public meeting, Tanwar said, “Selja is like a sister to me, but she didn’t support me earlier. Her experience in the Congress mirrors mine. We spent years raising people’s voices, only to have workers ignored.” He expressed confidence in BJP’s third consecutive term in Haryana, citing “overwhelming enthusiasm” and promising to fulfil manifesto pledges.

Tanwar criticised the Congress for false promises and lacking merit-based hiring, praising BJP’s transparent job selections. On Delhi’s influence, he noted BJP’s central leadership gives state leaders freedom to work.

Tanwar highlighted Haryana’s rapid progress under BJP, stating, “Farmers’ income has doubled.”
