Despite being summoned by the Haryana State Commission for Women (HSCW), the Ashoka University Associate Professor, who made remarks on social media disparaging women in the armed forces and promoting communal disharmony, failed to appear before the commission today.

Renu Bhatia, Chairperson, HSCW, had summoned him for an explanation.

Bhatia said the Associate Professor did not appear today, so the commission had decided to visit the university on Thursday. “I will go to the university and meet the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar, and will summon the Assistant Professor there,” she stated.
