ASI dies by suicide in Rewari; wife, in-laws booked

An ASI allegedly died by suicide at his home in Rewari today. The deceased, identified as Krishan Yadav (40), was a resident of Jainabad village of Rewari district and posted in Gurugram. In a suicide note, he accused his wife and in-laws of harassment.

Police sources said Yadav was the father of two children and his, Indu Yadav, was a teacher. The couple had been living separately for nearly two years.

In a complaint to the police, his father alleged that Krishan was depressed as his wife had repeatedly filed police complaints against him.

The police and forensic teams reached the ASI's house on receiving information and found him hanging from a window grill. The suicide note was recovered from his pocket.

The police have registered a case against his wife and in-laws for abetment to suicide.
