Speaking to the media later, Khattar said the family had requested a government job for ASI’s widow and financial assistance for the education of his children.

“Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has assured the family of providing a government job and taking care of the children's study expenses. Additional financial benefits will also be provided as per policy,” Khattar said.

Calling both recent suicide incidents — including that of IPS officer Y Puran Kumar — “deeply unfortunate,” Khattar appealed to the public to refrain from politicising the tragedies or attributing a caste angle to them.
