ASSEMBLY POLL 2024: Batoge to katoge, ek rahoge to nek rahoge, says Yogi Adityanath in Assandh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized on unity and warned people against division. He made a call for unity, saying, “I have already said ‘batoge to katoge, ek rahoge to nek rahoge’ (If you are divided, you will be destroyed, if you stay united, you will thrive).”
Adityanath was addressing a well-attended gathering in Assandh, 44 km from the district headquarters, which was organised to seek votes for party’s candidate from Assandh Assembly segment, Yogendra Rana.
“The nation will be empowered only when we stay united,” he said.
Adityanath urged people to support the BJP for the third consecutive term to sustain the pace of progress.
“Bring the BJP to power for the third time to continue the pace of development as this is the only government which has developed the state in an inclusive manner by keeping aside nepotism and corruption. It has provided jobs on the basis of merit,” said Adityanath.
Highlighting the achievements of the Union Government led by PM Narendra Modi, he reflected on the “transformation” of India. “We are fortunate to have seen the rise of a new India, an empowered India. The India of 2014 was plagued by lawlessness, with Haryana in the worst state. Today, things have drastically changed, and Haryana has shown the way,” he asserted.
Yogi spoke on the transformation in Haryana, particularly improvement in the sex ratio, which now exceeds 900 females per 1,000 males. He criticised the Congress for its “past failures”, particularly regarding women’s safety.
Adityanath praised the BJP’s efforts in Haryana, saying the construction of a new medical university, which would affiliate several medical colleges, was an example of the state’s development under BJP leadership. “Haryana has become a model of development, while under the previous government, it was plagued by corruption and poor governance. The double-engine government has made all this possible,” he maintained.
Adityanath also criticised the Congress for its failure to build the Ram temple, accusing the party of prioritising vote-bank politics. “The Congress will be brought to its knees by the people. If we stay united, no one can harm us,” he said.
Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s success, he said, “In the last seven years, there has not been a single riot in UP.” He accused the previous governments of promoting corruption and nepotism in Haryana.
Further attacking the BSP, Adityanath said, “The elephant (BSP symbol) is always hungry, and its hunger never ends.” He warned that Congress has a history of creating chaos, while the BJP, under CM Nayab Singh Saini’s leadership, is committed to accelerating development in Haryana.”
“The BJP is working tirelessly to eliminate corruption and lawlessness in Haryana. The Congress, AAP, and the BSP are three sides of the same coin, promoting anarchy,” he said.
