ASSEMBLY POLL 2024: Manohar Lal Khattar takes a dig at Congress over delay in doling out tickets

BJP candidates from Karnal Jagmohan Anand and from Gharaunda Harvinder Kalyan filed their nomination papers after taking out a massive roadshow and ‘hawan’ at their election offices in Karnal city and Gharaunda, respectively. Former CM and Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar accompanied them during the filing of nomination papers.

Congress still struggling

The Congress has not even managed to announce candidates for half of the seats yet. It is uncertain if their candidates will even complete the nomination process. Khattar claimed that the BJP would form the government for the third consecutive term in Haryana. “The BJP is going to form the government for the third time in the state as we have developed the state in an inclusive manner. We have provided jobs to the youth on merit basis by abolishing the ‘parchi and kharchi’ system,” said Khattar.

Taking a dig at the Congress, former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, “The Congress has not even managed to announce candidates for half of the seats yet. It is uncertain if their candidates will even complete the nomination process. The BJP is on track to form the government in Haryana for the third time, while the Congress is struggling and seeking alliances with other parties.”

Khattar claimed that people were full of enthusiasm and said that they would elect Anand and Kalyan from Karnal and Gharaunda, respectively.

Anand expressed his gratitude towards the BJP high command for selecting him as a candidate. “The party has shown faith in a humble worker like me, and I will meet their expectations,” he said.
