At Faridabad rally, Yogi dismisses opposition parties as 'private shops'

Addressing a rally in support of the BJP candidates here on Saturday, Uttar Pradesh CM and senior party leader Yogi Adityanath urged voters to reject the Congress and other opposition parties to ensure peace and the momentum of growth achieved during the BJP regime in the past 10 years in the state as well as the Centre.

Yogi claimed that while the Congress was the name of "problems", the BJP was the harbinger of development and good governance.

Accusing the Congress of creating hurdles in the construction of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya for 70 years, Yogi said the BJP had accomplished the task within seven years of its rule.

He alleged that all ills like corruption, terrorism, disunity, naxalism, nepotism and communal riots were a product of the Congress, and the BJP had freed people from the clutches of problems and exploitation.

Yogi said he was amazed when a maulvi greeted him in J&K, saying 'Yogi ji, Ram Ram!' This, he claimed, was the impact of the abolition of Article 370. "Jo log pehle Bharat ko koste the, wahi aaj aadar-samman de rahe hain," he said.

Highlighting the achievements of his government, Yogi asked if anyone had heard of communal riots that had been a regular feature in the state until the BJP came to power over seven years ago. He said all rioters were either in jail or had gone to "hell". He said only the BJP could guarantee corruption-free development.

Speaking about the progress in Haryana during the past 10 years, the UP CM claimed that BJP rule had ended the "mafia raj" prevalent in all sectors. He said the double-engine government brought various projects, including civic infrastructure, highways, Metro and universities, making the state a preferred destination among investors.

Local MP Krishan Pal Gurjar and BJP candidates Satish Fagna (NIT), Danesh Adlakha (Badkhal), Mool Chand Sharma (Ballabhgarh) and Tek Chand Sharma (Tigaon) were present. These segments have a sizeable population of migrants from UP, Uttarakhand and Bihar.
