Athletics meet: Dilip fastest at meet, 200m title for Dimple Malik

Kurukshetra, February 10

A number of track and field events were held on the second day of the three-day Annual Athletics Meet CITIUS 2023-24 at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, on Saturday.

Dimple Malik, Shakti and Simran Khan secured the first, second, and third positions in the girls’ 200 metres category, respectively, while Jyoti Meena, Muskan and Rinku claimed the first, second and third positions in the girls’ 1,500 metres race, respectively.

In the discus throw event, Himanshu, Harsh and Shailendra clinched the top three positions, respectively.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ 100 metres hurdles race, Dilip, Krishna Veer Thakur and Rudra grabbed the first, second and third positions, respectively. Lokesh, Khumesh Chaudhary and Ved claimed the top positions in the 1,500 meters race. Twinkle Soni claimed the first position in shot put game.

Dr PC Tewari, professor incharge of the sports and physical education department, distributed the medals and certificates to the victorious athletes.
