Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan a major step towards self-reliant India: Dhanda
Calls Swadeshi a tribute to the nation’s artisans, farmers, and entrepreneurs
Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda has said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan is a transformative step towards making India self-reliant in every sphere.
Speaking to mediapersons in Yamunanagar on the theme of self-reliant India, Dhanda said, “The Prime Minister has urged citizens to promote products made in India so that the country can rapidly move towards self-reliance. The Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan launched by him is an important step towards making the country self-reliant in every sector.”
He emphasised that for the BJP government, the Swadeshi pledge was not merely a slogan but the foundation of a developed and self-reliant India.
“It is a call to adopt products made in our country, embrace our culture and strengthen our economy. Swadeshi in every home is our mantra, our goal, and our strength. Swadeshi is not just limited to the economic sector; it is part of our culture and soul,” he said.
Highlighting India’s growing global stature, Dhanda noted that yoga, ayurveda, handicrafts, and traditional industries had earned international recognition. “We used to import technology, but today the world is learning from India. This is the new face of self-reliant India,” he added.
Calling Swadeshi a tribute to India’s artisans, farmers, small traders and entrepreneurs, the Minister said, “When we adopt Swadeshi, we connect with our soil, honour the hard work of our people and take a step towards making our country self-reliant. The only solution to all our country’s problems is the use of Swadeshi and a self-reliant India.”
Dhanda also recalled the vision of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay, who believed that the economic system should rest on the principles of Swadeshi. “From Make in India to Startup India, from Vocal for Local to Self-reliant India, the goal of every initiative is to reduce our dependence on foreign sources and take indigenous production to new heights,” he said.
Former Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Mayor Suman Bahamani, BJP district president Rajesh Sapra, state spokesperson Vidhu Rawal, Market Committee chairman Vipul Garg, DPRO Dr Manoj and several other dignitaries were present.
