AYUSH medical reimbursement plan welcomed by medical body
Ambala, April 9
The National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA), Ambala Cantonment, has welcomed the state government’s move of approving the proposal of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Sidha, Homeopathy (AYUSH) medical reimbursement policy.
The association members on Sunday met Home and Health Minister Anil Vij and thanked him for getting the policy approved.
NIMA Ambala Cantonment president Dr Aditya Garg said, “Earlier, only the bills of allopathic treatment were reimbursed due to which patients were unable to get the benefits of other disciplines. The government’s decision will benefit the employees and pensioners and will also give a boost to the AYUSH treatment in the state.”
As per the policy, the state government employees, pensioners and their dependents will be able to avail the benefit of getting their bills reimbursed.
